A few months ago I met up with miss Maya Sawyer in Long Beach for this awesome water concept shoot. I’m super happy that I got to see her again after our first shoot in Rhode Island. Lucky for me she was visiting on her school break! This was such a fun day for us. After we finished shooting, we sat on the rocks and watched the crabs crawl around in the water.

Studio Gear Cosmetics I Eye Artistry Palettes Product Review

Once again Studio Gear Cosmetics has wowed my pants off with these eye shadow palettes! I have been testing these out for the past 2 weeks and so far I am in love. Each palette is unique and totally worth the great price.

These Eye Artistry Palettes are $20 each. They have 6 shadows inside and also includes a travel size shadow contour brush. The True Nude Matte Palette consists of all matte shades and I would say compares to the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics. I can not say which palette I like the best because all three are wonderful. You are able to achieve multiple looks with each.

Beauty with Beccy Quinn

I had the pleasure of working with miss Beccy very recently in my little studio space. It was fun getting to know her and creating these beautiful images with her. I made this headpiece earlier this year and used it in another shoot but decided to redesign it a bit. I’m pretty proud of the results considering I’m not a designer. We hope to work together again in the near future. Perhaps after the holidays!

Beauty with Anya

I had the upmost pleasure working with Anya (model for Wilhelmina Models) and Teresa (H/MUA) on this retro inspired beauty shoot. I borrowed these sunglasses from my boyfriend’s mom and evidently they are by Playboy. This was a very fun photo and I’m very proud of the outcome. Both Anya and Teresa were so wonderful to work with!

Re Edits from 2014

I decided a few weeks ago to watch more photography related videos on YouTube to boost my skills in shooting and editing. Slowly I’m learning new techniques regarding both which will hopefully help me revamp my portfolio. At least that is the plan haha

Here are two re edits so far. I think I might make a series to post for fun!

I’ve started to brighten up dark areas of the face, brighten the pupils, soften the skin more in depth and use levels more in Photoshop. I’ve gotten pretty used to only editing lightly and more natural which could be a bad thing in some ways. I just felt it was time to try some new techniques.

Studio Gear Cosmetics True Matte Lipsticks l Review & Swatches

Studio Gear Cosmetics sent me these lovely True Matte Lipsticks to review. I just so happen to be a big lover of matte lipsticks so this very quite fitting for me! I’m not going to lie I didn’t expect a whole lot but these really wow’d me 🙂 They were kind enough to send me all 6 shades.

All 6 shades in order are True Nude, True Mauve, True Pink, True Magenta, True Red and True Plum. The formula of these is quite velvety and sit comfortably on the lips. To my surprise they also didn’t dry out my lips either like some matte lipsticks tend to do. I was really pleased with how long they wore as well. Between 5 to 6 hours which isn’t bad!
